Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt ready to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has passed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began spending more time together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the movie, commenting that he doesn't recollect "one day without laughter".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator

In a different tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles judge agreed to prevent the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A legal directive issued a embargo on the cases to limit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of murder, with a official listing citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the deaths, public individuals offered divergent reactions.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering divisive remarks that were met with immediate backlash by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the those speaking out last week. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan described the remarks as "shocking" and implied they showed a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by remarking that an aide could have stepped in when the decision to speak on the death was made.
