Player's Recent Legal Issues
The receiver was absent for the initial part of this NFL campaign due to an league-mandated ban for his involvement in instigating a crash on a Dallas highway that left several individuals injured. He was sentenced a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to felony charges.
On the field, Rice finished the year with 53 receptions for 571 receiving yards and five touchdowns as the Kansas City finished with a losing record and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first time in a decade.
