Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.

The author

Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.

A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an review of claims about questionable actions involving female individuals.

The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
