Barça Set to Play Inaugural Game at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months after they moved out so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
Barça organized an open training session at the Camp Nou earlier this month. Officials stated they were hoping for permission by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht on 9 December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
